Our Commitment

At ZOMWAVE, we maintain a comprehensive RoHS compliance program to help customers with their green aspirations. We strive to have accurate and available material content data on all of our products. When data is not yet available, customer requests will be given top priority.

What is RoHS?

Short for Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, RoHS was adopted in February 2003 by the European Union. Now in its third iteration as (EU) Directive 2015/863, RoHS guidelines and legislation are intended to reduce the presence of ten (10) materials deemed hazardous to the environment. To comply, products entering the EU must not have a homogeneous presence of these materials above the following levels by percentage of their weight:

• Lead (Pb) < 0.1%
• Mercury (Hg) < 0.1%
• Cadmium (Cd) < 0.01%
• DEHP < 0.1%
• DBP < 0.1%
• Hexavalent Chromium (CrVI) < 0.1%
• Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB) < 0.1%
• Polybrominated Diphenyl Esters (PBDE) < 0.1%
• BBP < 0.1%
• DIBP < 0.1%

Our Approach

We work with our supply chain to routinely collect and analyze this data which enables us to determine the state of compliance for each item we sell. As part of our process integration efforts, we are currently redesigning the way this data can be found on-line so that it is consistent across all brands. Once deployed, we will have a customer self-serve search engine tool to enable real-time creation of part number specific declarations.
